Postdoc position at Cornell

Joo research group in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work on a nanostructured nanofibers for energy storage/generation applications. We would appreciate it if you could notify interested personnel in your group.

This experimenter position will be to apply nanofibers with hierarchical nanostructures to various applications including electrodes for Li-ion batteries and supercapacitors and active layers for heterojunction photovoltaic cells. The project is funded by a startup company.

Highly motivated candidates with strong backgrounds on electrochemistry or energy devices will be considered. Applicants are expected to have experience or familiarity with nanocrytsal synthesis, device fabrication and testing, and any additional experiences in separators and electrolytes will be a plus. The start date is flexible, but the position is immediately available from April 15, 2012.
